Miscellaneous n.d., c. 1940 [microform].

This series consists of various miscellaneous items pertaining to ULCA mission work. There are two undated clippings from a Lutheran Woman's Work Convention Daily. An undated bulletin from what appears to have been a dramatic program about missionaries and mission work is included. There is an undated promotional leaflet for the book The Shepard in the Shadows, by John Frederick Fedders. This leaflet was not affiliated with the Women's Missionary Society (WMS) or published by them. There is also an undated Thank Offering pamphlet that does not appear to have been published by the WMS. It was created in the late 1940s. There are two pages titled, "Dates of Last Congregational Itineraries." It is not known in what material these pages appeared. There is also a portion of some kind of undated receipt. An undated poster showing WMS missionaries and in which mission fields they worked and a map of India is located in an oversized folder located on the shelving across from the mapcase area. A leather notebook containing letters to Mrs. William P.M. Braun, Deaconess Secretary, WMS, is also included in this series. This notebook of congratulatory letters was presented to Mrs. Braun at her retirement on October 9, 1940, but at some point she gave the notebook to the ULCA's Philadelphia Motherhouse of Deaconesses. Also included in this series is a sample of WMS pamphlet "In His Steps" and a photograph of the artwork used in the creation of the pamphlet about deaconess work.
